We are working with a state government client who is seeking an experienced Principal Consultant to join a small HR team in leading and supporting projects with an Industrial Relations focus.

About the Role

• Development and implementation of workforce policies and procedures;
• Support activities relating to enterprise bargaining;
• Industrial instrument interpretation;
• Technical and strategic advice on employment matters;
• Capability development initiatives and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities will include;

• Leading and contributing to the research, analysis, development, implementation and review of employment and industrial relations issues, policies, strategies, and initiatives
• Collaborating, consulting, advising and negotiating with stakeholders to promote collaborative industrial relations;
• Leading consultation, feedback coordinator and approvals in line with governance requirements;
• Helping to solve industrial relations challenges through identifying issues, opportunities, risks, implications, strategies (including risk mitigation), and options for resolution; and preparing and presenting high level discussion papers, correspondence and briefing material relating to a range of complex employment relations issues.
• Supporting related team projects, such as the development of the mandatory training program

About you

• You will be a seasoned industrial relations specialist with a strong public sector focus.
• You will be someone who operates as part of a team that values continuous professional growth and supports a collaborative, inclusive, and positive workplace culture.
• You will have extensive experience in a similar role.

The Benefits

• $87.02 per hour + Super (PAYG Agency Contractor)
• 6-month contract
• Brisbane, CBD
• Monday to Friday, Full time hours (36.25 hrs)
• Flexible Working - Neg.
