About the role

South West Healthcare's Maternity Unit is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Midwife to join our team in a permanent Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) position.

As ANUM, you will work in close partnership with the Maternity Unit Manager to:

  • Champion clinical excellence and high-quality patient care
  • Support effective resource management and operational efficiency
  • Provide leadership and guidance to our committed maternity team
  • Step into the Maternity Unit Manager role when required, offering valuable leadership development opportunities

Position overview

  • Employment Type: Part time (64 hours per fortnight), On going position
  • Location: Warrnambool Campus
  • Classification: Associate Nurse Unit Manager
  • Salary Range: $115,538.80 - $119,428.40 pro rata, plus superannuation

What you bring

  • Dual registration as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife, with current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum of five years post-graduate midwifery experience, with proven excellence in clinical assessment
  • Strong commitment to clinical safety, professional standards, and patient-centred care within a maternity setting
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development is highly regarded
  • Effective communication skills
  • Demonstrated decision-making, problem-solving, and staff supervision capabilities
