Nurse Unit Manager - Aged Care
Are you an experienced aged care nurse ready to take the next step in your career? A fantastic opportunity exists for a passionate and skilled Nurse Unit Manager to lead clinical operations in a supportive and progressive residential aged care setting.

This role comes with the unique opportunity to be part of an exciting 24-bed extension opening in approximately five months. The successful candidate will begin in an existing 36–40 bed unit for a strong and thorough orientation before transitioning to the new unit once operational. The role is based in Marybourough.

About the Role:

• Oversee day-to-day clinical operations for a 24 - 40 bed unit
• Lead, support and mentor a team of 30–40 staff (6–7 staff per shift)
• Ensure compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards and organisational policies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families to ensure resident wellbeing
• Support one of the existing units and assist with coverage as needed
• Role reports directly to the Director of Care

Requirements:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Proven leadership experience in an aged care setting
• Strong people management and interpersonal skills
• High-level clinical skills and sound documentation ability
• Knowledge of aged care standards, reforms, and accreditation processes
• Proficient with clinical systems and digital care platforms
• Permanent resident or Australian citizen (sponsorship not available)
• Current Police Check (within 2 months) or willingness to obtain
