Nightlife is a consumer driven service that aims to create flexible supports for people with disability living in their own homes. Our office is based in Heatherton with services provided throughout the Southern Bayside and Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. Nightlife's mission is to enable people to live as independently as possible and enjoy an inclusive lifestyle. We operate 7 days a week/365 days a year.

About the role

This role involves the provision of in-house support, community access and personal care to people with disability living within their own homes. Our Nighttime staff commence shifts at Heatherton, as part of our mobile fleet visiting people. Long and short shifts available; choose one to match with your lifestyle.

Key criteria:

Must be available for Thursday early mornings and everyday from 2PM-9PM

Requirements

Nightlife is seeking candidates with the following qualifications and checks:

Cert III or other relevant qualification (or willingness to attain)

Current driver’s license

National Police Check, WWCC and any required Overseas Police Checks are essential prior to employment.

NDIS Worker Screening Check Essential

Nightlife is a respondent to mandatory health directions for disability workers

Skills and experience

Enthusiastic, reliable and motivated

Committed to the rights of people with disability

Experience working with people with physical disability is preferable

Willingness to learn and work in a variety of environments

Experienced and well trained in Complex Care (Such as Medication, Dysphagia, Bowel Care and Catheter Care)

Comfortable with supporting exercises routines

Capable with household chores

Confident driving a wheelchair

Excellent communication skills
