About the role

Arteva Funding is seeking a Business Analyst to join our innovative IT team. In this 12-month position, you’ll play a key role in analysing business needs, designing technical solutions, and supporting system integrations that enhance the customer experience. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver smart, efficient, and scalable solutions , helping to drive continuous improvement and innovation in a dynamic environment.

What you'll be doing

Analysing business requirements, work requests and production support tasks to identify technical solutions in consultation with key stakeholders, peers and wider business teams, considering all databases, applications, business processes and system implications.

Assisting in the development of technical solutions aligned with industry best practices and principles (API integration, system analysis, design, development, maintenance, and ongoing support for our core applications), as well as contributing to the creation and delivery of solutions that provide value to customers.

Troubleshoot and resolve integration and API issues.

Facilitating workshops and interviews to elicit requirements and document current application functionality.

Prepare technical architecture and system configuration documents and diagrams.

Simplify complex information to be easily understood by the business.

Logging and accessing technical solutions within the JIRA and thoroughly documenting the status of all client liaisons and communications.

Analyse proposed solutions for issues, risks, and benefits, as well as their impact on the business.

Complete modelling of application and business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Assist with enquiries and escalated production support issues and conduct root cause analysis.

Be proactive in identifying and implementing improvements to processes and procedures within the IT team and organisation

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in an IT field including project management or business analysis would be advantageous, not essential.

Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, with a strong background in ICT, in particular integration and API solutions.

Experience with the software development lifecycle and Agile delivery methodologies.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.

Ability to document tasks using tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Experience leading technology projects from conception to closure.

Desire to explore new technology directions and an understanding of how they can be applied to benefit our growing organisation.

Sound understanding of IT application and system design best practice.

Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative, cross-functional environments.
