Are you passionate about workplace safety and looking for a new opportunity? Our manufacturing client in Benalla, is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join their team as a Safety Officer.

As Safety Officer, you will report directly to the HSE Manager and play an important role in the development and monitoring of OHS Systems, policies and procedures, ensuring that the company can continue to provide a safe workplace for all employees.

This position will begin as casual however full-time hours are required. This position may also have the capacity to convert to permanent in the future, for select candidates. Office hours are required (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm).

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is desired.

Pay Rates:

• Competitive pay rates ranging from $40 to $45 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular WHS inspections and daily safety walks.
• Lead regular toolbox talks.
• Review and follow up on safety actions and programs.
• Provide advice and support to management on safety-related issues and promote positive behaviours.
• Undertake risk assessments and assist in updating procedures and processes.

What We Are Looking For:

• At least 1 year of experience in a safety role.
• Qualification in OHS (Cert IV or Diploma) or similar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven computer literacy in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
