Salary: $90k-100k package with potential for some flexibility
Hours: Full time, flexible working arrangements with Thursdays from home (potential opportunity for the role to be 4 days a week)

ABOUT THE COMPANY:
We are partnering with a well-established and respected NFP company. With a close-knit team, this is a rare opportunity to step into a broad and autonomous bookkeeping role in a stable, supportive setting.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Bookkeeper, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Working closely with the finance managers, you'll be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and preparing financial records for reporting and compliance. This role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to be a key contributor to a smooth-running, professional business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process and reconcile all accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payments and collections.
- Maintain vendor and customer records, investigate discrepancies, and perform regular bank and account reconciliations.
- Coordinate and process the full monthly payroll cycle, including new starters, terminations, variations, and statutory obligations.
- Ensure compliance with payroll, taxation, and accounting standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislative requirements.
- Prepare and deliver monthly financial and payroll reports, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist with management accounts, budgeting, variance analysis, and audit preparation, maintaining data integrity across systems.
- Uphold compliance, governance, and risk management standards, including workplace health and safety requirements.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Payroll Management: Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end payroll cycles for 50-100 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
Accounts Payable: Proven ability to process 50-100 invoices fortnightly, including invoice matching, coding, approvals, and payment processing.
Financial Administration: Strong background in administrative roles involving financial data entry, reconciliations, and record maintenance.
Customer Service: Experienced in providing administrative and customer support with a focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and efficiency.
Bookkeeping and Accounting: Sound understanding of bookkeeping principles, including double-entry accounting and general ledger reconciliation.
Taxation and Compliance:
- Basic understanding of the Australian taxation system and GST.
- Knowledge of superannuation regulations and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with payroll tax, PAYG, FBT, and Single Touch Payroll (STP) obligations.
- Understanding of the Fair Work Act and modern awards, ensuring payroll compliance and correct employee entitlements.
