We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a leading FMCG manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a highly regarded business that produces some of Australia’s most well-known and trusted brands. If you have a strong background with PLC programming and automation then this could be the role for you.

The Role

Reporting to and working alongside the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plant and production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role involves a mix of preventative and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and supporting continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production and packaging machinery
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults on PLC-controlled systems (Omron desirable)
• Work with VSDs, motors, HMIs, sensors, and automation systems
• Carry out electrical installations, upgrades, and modifications as required
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with Australian standards
• Support plant reliability projects and continuous improvement initiatives
• Complete maintenance documentation using the site’s CMMS system

Skills & Experience

• Current NSW Electrical Licence (essential)
• Previous experience in an FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong PLC fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Good working knowledge of automation, drives, and control systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Strong safety focus with excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Additional tickets (EWP, forklift, working at heights) highly regarded
