Wyndarra is a privately owned and operated ELC & Kindergarten in Hoppers Crossing.
Our service provides a rich nurturing learning environment for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. We provide high quality care to children and hold high expectations from our educators.
A fulltime (38hour week) opportunity has become available for a passionate kindergarten teacher to co teach our 3 year old kinder program in 2026 and to join our vibrant 103 place service.
We are seeking a passionate Kindergarten teacher to to provide a high quality program that supports children in all aspects of development, numeracy, literary and school readiness. This role requires a strong confident leader, to work alongside management to support other co workers to enhance educational programs across our service.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Your core duties is to care and educate your students. As the teacher you are required to support our curriculum which is based on the Kathy Walker Learning approach and our Philosophy.
You must have the skills to work with another teacher to coordinate your program independently, you will be offered the support you require to enrich the children's environment through incursions, resources & excursions.
You will need to manage and mentor co-workers & students who will seek advise and strategies from your experience and skills to assist with their growth as an educator.
You will work along side management to ensure the effectiveness of the programs in all rooms.
Assisting with the QIP, educator meetings and Educational leader duties.
Maintain and manage your resources within your room.
Skills and experience
Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Education (early childhood) or equivalent.
Current Early Childhood Teachers Registration and first Aid, Asthma & anaphylaxis certificates
Confidence to independently run the kindergarten program with passion and enthusiasm.
Excellent written and communication skills & confident when communicating with parents & leadership team.
Willing to be proactive in implementing a fun and exciting curriculum
To provide a warn, caring & safe environment for children in which all children's physical, social, emotional, cognitive and language development is nurtured.
bright, friendly and energetic
Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) & National Quality Standards (NQS)
Experience in running your own classroom
Minimum of 6 months classroom teaching experience is required
New graduates with a passion, and confidence welcome to apply.
A valid Working with Children Check must be obtained prior to commencement
