About the Role

As the Storeperson / Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our client's warehouse and procurement functions. This includes managing incoming and outgoing goods, maintaining accurate stock levels, and developing strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely supply of materials.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure all warehouse activities are conducted safely and responsibly.

Oversee all warehousing functions, including:

Goods receipt and dispatch

Stock control and cycle counts

Goods issue and put-away

Booking and arranging local/interstate freight

Source and establish relationships with local suppliers.

Prepare and process purchase orders in line with company policies.

Work closely with workshop staff and engineers to ensure timely supply of parts.

Liaise with the Workshop Supervisor to forecast and manage stock requirements.

Communicate with supplier sales representatives regarding goods and supply issues.

Requirements

Current Forklift Ticket (mandatory)

Unrestricted rights to work in Australia (Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident)

Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance

Willingness to complete pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
