Our client is an industry leader who employ over 2200 staff across Australia. They provide manufacturing and rental services to the hospitality, manufacturing and healthcare industries. This is an exceptional opportunity to join the engineering team at their Alexandria branch providing support to the production team to ensure the smooth running of all equipment, responding to breakdowns, completing planned maintenance and instalment of new plant and machinery.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, specific responsibilities include: -

• Start up and shut down of plant equipment
• Perform regular maintenance on machine, equipment & plant facilities
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults & production breakdowns
• Complete hand over with operators and ensure machinery can be operated safely after maintenance
• Liaise with Production, Team Leaders & Supervisor in relation to maintenance & repairs
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean work area during repair & maintenance work.

To be successful in this position you will have:

• Mechanical and / or Electrical Trade Qualification is a must
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Current drivers licence
• Strong communication skills
• Competent computer skills with prior CMMS experience
• Experience with Programmable Logic Controller is higher desirable

This a permanent full-time position Mondays to Fridays 38 hours per week with plant closing at 4.00pm daily. Salary guide is up to $52 per hour for a qualified Fitter + Super and $55 per hour + Super for a qualified Electrician (dep on experience).
