Part-Time Guest Services Assistant

The Jephson Hotel is a 4.5 star hotel located in Toowong, Brisbane. We are currently seeking a Guest Services Assistant, reporting to the Front Office Manager. The part-time position is currently for 20 to 25 hours per week and the successful candidate needs to be able to work weekdays and weekends.

Main Duties:

Reservations: making accommodation bookings through the “CMS Guest Centrix” booking system, from phone call, emails, travel agents and Online travel agents

Allocation of guest rooms and room keys

Ensure the smooth running of daily check-in / check-out processes

Taking guest payments and processing

Opening and Closing procedures

Administration duties

Dealing with guest and guest complaints

General duties as requested by Management

Night Manager sleep over nights (minimum 2 per week or as per roster)

We are seeking an individual who possesses the following:

1-2 year previous experience in the Hotel or Hospitality Industry

Excellent customer service skills

Enthusiastic team player

Well presented and good personal grooming

The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Works well under pressure

Strong communication and a common sense approach to problem solving

Excellent time management skills and attention to detail and accuracy

Sound knowledge of Microsoft office

Must be able to multi task in a busy hotel

Availability to work weekdays, weekends and night manager sleepovers as per roster
