The Opportunity
The Warehouse Manager is an integral leadership position within our Distribution Centre (DC). You will manage all areas of the warehouse operations to ensure the effective and efficient distribution of fresh, ambient, chilled, and frozen product to our customer restaurants. You will be a key people leader, responsible for building and developing the warehouse team and driving our "People First" culture.
Day to Day You Will:
- Maintain a safe working environment across a 7-day-a-week operation, focusing on preventative actions and promoting a positive culture towards safety and wellness.
- Drive operations to ensure customer satisfaction, on-time delivery, and other service KPIs are achieved.
- Lead and mentor a team of shift supervisors to develop and maintain an engaged workforce through promoting our core company values.
- Deliver and monitor efficient cost management protocols for the warehouse, analysing financial reports and site performance against set budgets.
- Meet operational, facility, and legislative/customer-driven compliance requirements.
- Evaluate short-medium term capacity constraints and develop/implement action plans and solutions.
- Support the warehouse team utilising the Warehouse Management System (WMS) software to ensure optimum workflow.
- Manage employee training and development and ensure performance concerns are addressed.
- Embed and drive a culture of engagement and continuous improvement.
About You
- Demonstrated people leadership experience in a similar role, ideally in the Supply Chain, Logistics Management, or Warehouse Management industries.
- Ability to lead and influence a diverse team in a dynamic environment through inclusive people management principles.
- Willingness to take initiative and drive results to ensure business KPIs are met and exceeded whilst upholding the highest levels of safety and customer service.
- Ability to think critically in complex situations, deal with ambiguity, and problem-solve.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements including Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
