The Role

We are currently recruting a Radio & Paging Engineer, based in Ballarat, for a State Government client. You will support the reliable operation and performance of radio, paging and telecommunications systems across regional and metropolitan Victoria. The role includes maintenance, upgrades, configuration, and end-user support for field and base station equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support radio and paging infrastructure, ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Undertake preventive and corrective maintenance for communications systems and related hardware.
• Participate in system upgrades, equipment installations and network enhancements.
• Provide technical advice and support to operational and field staff.

About You

• Proven experience supporting radio, paging, or telecommunications systems.
• Knowledge of RF systems, digital radio, or paging network technologies.
• Hands-on technical background in electronics, communications, or IT infrastructure.
• Current Victorian Driver's Licence required.
• Relevant qualification in communications engineering, electronics or related field (desirable).
