About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our vibrant and friendly team at Cafe Gia' in Herston, Brisbane Queensland. As a casual Cook, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and cooking of a range of delicious meals and refreshments for our customers. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the success of our popular local cafe.

What you'll be doing

Prepare food items on the menu and in the cabinet, including hot dishes, sandwiches and some desserts

Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistently high-quality dishes

Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations

Work collaboratively with the front of house staff to efficiently manage orders and maintain a smooth service

Provide excellent customer service and contribute to a positive dining experience for our patrons

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar food preparation role, preferably in a cafe or restaurant environment for at least 2 years

Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, recipes, and presentation

Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment

Good communication and teamwork skills

Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene

Enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a passion for creating delicious food
