About the role

Our valued client, a leading organisation within the gold mining sector, is seeking a motivated and experienced Laboratory Technician to join their site-based team on a casual basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-performing laboratory operation within a safety-focused mining environment.

What you'll be doing

Carrying out routine and specialised laboratory tests

Preparing and processing samples for testing, including weighing, grinding, and digestion

Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instrumentation AAS machines etc

Accurately recording and documenting test results

Adhering to strict quality control and safety standards

What we're looking for

Previous experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably in the Gold mining or minerals processing industry

Minimum 1-2 years of laboratory experience required

Proficiency in operating a range of laboratory equipment and instrumentation

AAS experience and familiarity with mineral or gold analysis highly regarded

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Commitment to safety and quality control

Additional requirements

ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.

possess or ability to obtain a current National police clearance
