Salary: $82,373 - $88,423 per annum (plus superannuation)

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Officer to support the delivery of innovative STEAM and project-based learning programs at our Tech Schools. You’ll play a key role in integrating technology into education, maintaining equipment and facilities, and supporting students and staff in creating prototypes using CAD, 3D printing, CNC milling, laser cutting, VR/AR, and more. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about STEM, with strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and pack down technologies for programs and events
Maintain and repair equipment and workstations
Manage stock control and procurement of new technologies
Provide technical support for exhibitions and events
Assist students and staff in implementing technology for learning
Ensure compliance with WHS, Child Safe Standards, and internal policies
Maintain accurate documentation and records
Support professional learning and innovation initiatives
Skills and Experience Required
Certificate-level qualifications in Design Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Computer Technology or related discipline (essential)
Experience in CAD, 3D printing, CNC, laser cutting, and electronics assembly
Strong ICT skills across PC, Android, Windows, Microsoft, Google, and CAD software
Understanding of WHS in relation to machinery and equipment
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Passion for STEM and innovation
Additional Requirements
Successful candidate will be required to provide:
A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
A National Police Check
