George’s Bike Shop is a well-established, independent bicycle retailer in Balcatta with a proud history of delivering exceptional service since 1990. We’re growing and looking for a passionate, knowledgeable, and customer-focused Bicycle Mechanic & Retail Sales Professional to join our team.

🔧 About the Role

You’ll split your time between the workshop and the shop floor — diagnosing and repairing all bicycle types while helping customers find the perfect product for their riding needs.

Key responsibilities:

Perform high-quality servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and builds across road, MTB, e-bikes & kids bikes

Confidently support customers with technical product knowledge and friendly guidance

Maintain a clean, organised workshop & retail environment

Accurately record job details and manage inventory/parts usage

Assist in merchandising, product displays and general store duties

✅ About You

We’re seeking a capable and confident professional with strong technical ability and great communication skills.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Minimum 3–5 years proven workshop experience (retail bike shop preferred)

Strong knowledge of bicycle components, modern drivetrain systems & e-bike technology

Excellent customer service & sales ability

A team-player mindset with a proactive “can-do” attitude

Passion for cycling and the cycling community

Preferred but not essential:

Experience with POS and job ticketing systems

Familiarity with major brands such as Giant, Liv, Shimano, SRAM, etc.
