What you will be doing

• Lead and manage the data engineering function, including 2 FTE and 2 contractors
• Own and uplift cloud-first data engineering services across the business
• Champion a trusted centralised data warehouse and analytics platform
• Oversee operational performance, service delivery and workflow improvements
• Support solution design using modern architectural principles including scalability, security and maintainability
• Engage closely with stakeholders and internal customers, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences

Skills Required

• Leadership experience managing data engineering teams and contractors
• Strong hands-on skills across Azure, Databricks, SQL and Power BI
• Skilled in data integration, cloud operations, and modern engineering practices
• Comfortable balancing BAU operations with strategic project contribution
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement outcomes
• Experience across hybrid environments transitioning from on-prem to cloud
