Our client is a global leader, major producer, and manufacturer of highly differentiated polypropylene films where they hold a global footprint in the markets for high performance coated films, overwraps, graphic media solutions, label, and security films for the packaging and labelling industries worldwide.
They have over 90 years’ experience in supplying and manufacturing of speciality films, they employ over 1500 people worldwide and have productions sites in Australia, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Mexico and the UK.
Due to continued growth and advancement, they have an opportunity for a Machine Operator to join the team at their Craigieburn manufacturing plant in a Temp- Permanent opportunity.
About the Role
Reporting into the Team Leader – Production, you will initially commence working in the polymer handling/recycling/waste recovery area with the opportunity to progress into the slitting and main process areas.
As this is a well-maintained site it is imperative to be able to achieve objectives, encompassing safety, continued production, and service quality.
One of the main objectives, with the position, is that you will continue and grow and develop in role with the right support and guidance.
This is a 6-month temporary assignment with the view to move to a permanent position, working a continuous rotating shift roster.
Core responsibilities
The operation of all activities associated with the preparation, operation and optimisation of the polymer handling and recycling departments.
Movement and transfer of mill rolls.
Systems startups and shutdowns
Housekeeping and cleaning when required.
Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with quality requirements, company policy.
Skills & Experience
Experience and knowledge of workings in a manufacturing or Industrial environment or operation desirable but not essential
Forklift licence desirable but not essential
Ability to work a continuous rotating roster when you go permanent.
Knowledge and expertise in safety procedures and processes
Excellent communication and organisational skills with good computer literacy.
Physically fit, enthusiastic, and a great attitude
Demonstrated ability to work well within a team environment.
Work autonomously with ease and thrives in pressure situations.
Reliable, honest, and trustworthy by nature

Excellent pay rates ($44.25 per hour)
6.00am - 2.00pm Monday - Friday
Temporary to Permanent full-time positions
Full training provided.
Well-maintained manufacturing plant with latest technology and equipment.
