About the Role:
Our client is a well-known manufacturing and distribution business in Truganina - 3029. Recent growth has created multiple opportunities for experienced machine operators to join their business on an ongoing casual basis with a view to permanency.

Day Shift: 6:00AM - 3:00PM - $36.61 per hour + super
Night Shift: 10:00PM - 6:00AM - $43.02 per hour + super

Duties:
Morning Shift:

Working on multiple cardboard manufacturing machines, you will be responsible for ensuring the paper is being fed into the machine correctly, and removed from the end of the production line with efficiency and accuracy

Quality checks on all products to ensure cutting, gluing and printing are to job order requirements

Machine operation

Calibration of machine settings

Lift and cut cardboard

Basic machine troubleshooting

Assisting with job changes, using basic hand tools

About You:

1-2 years’ experience minimum in a similar factory setting.

Previous experience in operation of similar machines that do printing, cutting, gluing and work on conveyor belts.

Able to troubleshoot basic issues with conveyors and machines.

Physically fit and able to get up and down from steppers and small 4 step staircases where machines are.

Able to complete quality checks of products looking at cut shape, glue binding, and printing.

Essential Selection Criteria:

Physically fit and able to perform repetitive manual tasks

Positive attitude with the desire and ability to learn and establish a career in manufacturing

Proof of a stable, reliable work history with minimal to no days off

Ability to work full-time hours, Monday - Friday

Immediate and full availability to work

Clean police record

Able to pass a drug and alcohol test as well as random onsite testing

Full unrestricted working rights
