The HR Officer position is based in our Milton office.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager – People & Culture, this is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all facets of HR. As a HR Officer, you will provide generalist HR and administrative support across key areas including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, training, and culture initiatives.
This role is designed for someone who is currently studying, who is eager to build a strong foundation in HR and grow within a supportive and purpose-driven organisation.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Support recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Maintain compliance and employee records using Employment Hero.
- Assist with training coordination and Learning Management System (Go1) updates.
- Contribute to culture and wellbeing initiatives.
- Prepare reports, HR documentation, and support people-related projects.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will be:
- Currently studying a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
- Experienced in admin or office environments (HR/recruitment experience is a plus!)
- Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of juggling multiple tasks.
- A strong communicator who builds positive relationships across all levels.
- Tech-savvy, with confidence using Microsoft Office and HR systems like Employment Hero or Go1.
- Curious, adaptable, and passionate about starting a meaningful career in HR.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation (Modern Awards, National Employment Standards, Fair Work) and HR best practices.
