Job Description

Reporting to the R&D Manager, the primary purpose of this role is for project managing new products and compliance projects in line with their regulatory and customer requirements.

The primary responsibilities of the role are:

Plan and coordinate the work in an efficient manner.

Monitoring project milestones and budgets ensuring that they are in line with the original project deliverables.

Responsible for the technical aspects of new product design, establishing design specifications, failure modes and effect analysis and design validation.

Responsible for preparing engineering CAD drawings, in relation to new product designs.

Coordinate assembling and installing new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools and controls, and hydraulic power systems

Estimate material costs and quantities, and machine requirements

Performing and direct field and laboratory tests

Collect and Analyse data, carrying out complex computations and preparing diagrams

Organize and supervise inspection and maintenance of machines and plant

Monitor designs and finished work are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions.

Mentor the engineering team.

The successful applicant will have

A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering

2 year related work experience in ventilation products

Ability to operate laser CNC manufacturing machine and must be proficient in Auto CAD

Experience with R&D projects.

Strong Communication and interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to manage personnel on site Excellent communication skills and the ability to stay organized and multi-task
