The Project Lead will manage the full life cycle of civil infrastructure repair projects resulting from a cyclone in the Pilbara earlier this year. This
includes leading planning, execution, and close-out phases, ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule targets are met.
The role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, and stakeholder engagement to deliver high-impact outcomes in
a complex operational environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Lead the delivery of multiple civil recovery projects from initiation to completion.
· Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking systems.
· Establish and maintain integrated schedules across work packages; monitor progress and manage risks.
· Coordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, and external contractors.
· Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
· Oversee quality assurance and control processes throughout the project lifecycle.
· Engage with stakeholders including government bodies, local communities, and internal teams.
· Prepare and present project reports, updates, and recommendations.
· Maintain accurate documentation and support audits and reviews.
Preferred Background / Industry Experience
· Civil infrastructure delivery, particularly in disaster recovery or remediation contexts.
· Experience managing projects impacted by natural disasters or extreme weather events.
· Familiarity with construction sequencing, WBS, and change control processes.
· Exposure to government-funded infrastructure programs or regional development initiatives.
· Understanding of risk management, QA/QC, and community engagement in civil works.
Qualifications & Experience
· Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
· 5+ years of experience in project delivery, ideally in infrastructure or recovery projects.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
· Familiarity with SAP and document control systems is advantageous.
· Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
