We’re looking for dedicated and compassionate Residential Youth Support Workers to join our growing team. In this rewarding role, you’ll provide guidance, care, and support to young people living in our residential homes helping them build confidence, develop life skills, and reach their full potential.

💬 About the Role

As a Residential Youth Support Worker, you’ll be a positive influence and trusted mentor for young people, empowering them to lead safe, healthy, and fulfilling lives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

🤝 Building Relationships: Establish trust and rapport while acting as a positive role model.

Personalised Support: Provide care tailored to each young person’s physical, emotional, and social needs.

🏠 Daily Living Assistance: Support daily routines such as hygiene, meal prep, medication, and household tasks.

Creating Positive Environments: Encourage participation in social and recreational activities.

🧾 Monitoring & Reporting: Record progress and behaviours, and report key updates as needed.

Collaboration: Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and community agencies.

🧼 Safety & Wellbeing: Maintain a clean, safe environment in line with WHS standards.

Emotional Support: Provide empathy, stability, and crisis support when needed.

📚 Ongoing Learning: Attend training and team meetings to continue professional growth.

💡 What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking individuals who are:

Experienced in youth work, community services, or related fields.

Skilled communicators who can connect with and inspire young people from diverse backgrounds.

Patient, empathetic, and professional—especially in challenging situations.

Organised and adaptable, with great time management skills.

Flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overnight.

✅ Required Licences & Clearances

Current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)

NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)

Current First Aid & CPR Certification

Australian Driver’s Licence & comprehensive car insurance (if using personal vehicle)

Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module & Hope and Healing Framework
(We can assist you in obtaining access to these if needed.)

Awake/active overnight shifts

Day Shifts

Please note: Weekday 9am–3pm shifts can be limited if the youths are at school (except during school holidays).
