Kanda are seeking passionate Residential Care Workers in Rockhampton to support children and young people in residential care and disability settings.

In this role you will:

• Provide direct care, guidance, and supervision to young people in a residential setting
• Support children and young people with disabilities to build independence and life skills
• Assist with daily routines, self-care, education, and recreational activities
• Promote safe, stable, and nurturing living environments
• Build trusting relationships, offering emotional support and mentorship
• Work collaboratively within a therapeutic, trauma-informed care framework
• Maintain accurate records and documentation

Requirements:

• Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check or being willing and eligible to obtain prior to commencement
• Available to work across a full shift pattern (mornings, evenings and sleepovers)
• Valid Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle
• Attained or working towards a relevant Bachelor's Degree, Diploma or Certificate IV (Community Services, Youth/Social Work, etc.)
• Experience working with young people/children
• Experience working in other support work related fields, i.e. disability, mental health, aged care, and childcare
