About the Role
We’re seeking part-time Disability Support Workers to join our team in West Rockhampton, providing support across both hub based programs and SIL. These roles offer a rewarding opportunity to support individuals with disabilities, with a focus on fun, social, and skill-building group activities.

You will support daily living tasks and encourage independence, playing a key role in helping the customer live as independently as possible while ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. This customer requires 24/7 support, so there will be a range of shifts available.

You’ll be helping customers engage in meaningful programs like bingo, music, dancing, and ceramics, and also providing personalised support, meal preparation, administering medication and other support.

Other responsibilities may include:

• Facilitating engaging group and individual activities both onsite and in the community
• Supporting individuals with personal care, manual handling and mobility aids.
• Implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies to manage complex behaviours
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of support provided
• Driving a Multicap van to and from activities (must be willing and confident to drive)

What we are looking for:

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities
• Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support plans (advantage)
• Willingness to work across a flexible roster between 8 AM – 9 PM
• Ability to work effectively in both 1:1 and group support settings

Requirements

• Valid drivers licence (P2 or open class)
• First Aid and CPR certificate
• NDIS worker screening clearance (yellow card)
• QLD blue card (working with children check)
