As a nationwide NDIS provider, we deliver person-centred services including Supported Independent Living (SIL) and tailored disability support. We’re currently seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SIL House Leader to join our team in a 1:3 support role. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of three participants, fostering emotional growth, confidence, and independence in a safe, nurturing environment.
Due to the specific care needs of the participants, this role is only open to male candidates.
About the Role
As a Senior Disability Support Worker, you will provide Supported Independent Living services that empower individuals with disabilities to thrive in their daily lives. This includes assistance with personal care, meal preparation, and helping participants build meaningful routines, structure, and healthy habits. You’ll play a key role in fostering emotional and psychological growth, boosting confidence, self-esteem, and communication skills, while ensuring participants feel supported both at home and in their communities.
Key Accountabilities
Support participants with daily living tasks
Assist with personal care and hygiene
Prepare nutritious meals
Help build and maintain routines
Encourage community participation
Support the development of independent living skills

What We’re Looking For
Experience working with high-intensity, physical and complex behavioural participants
Minimum 2 years as a disability support worker and experience working in a Supported Independent Living home.
Required Certifications
NDIS Screening/Yellow Card
First Aid and CPR Certificate
Driver’s licence
Reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
Desirable (but not mandatory)
Cert IV in Mental Health or equivalent
Maybo Training – Positive Behaviour Support or similar
Key Attributes
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to coordinate daily routines and household tasks effectively
Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to anticipate needs (e.g. groceries, supplies
Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
Comfortable using technology and basic software applications
Empathetic, patient, and committed to participant wellbeing
