About the Role

This Electrical Technician role involves working a 40hr week based at TerraVision in Mount Pleasant. It is a hands-on role where you will be working within a team environment but relatively autonomously in regard to specific electrical technician jobs and tasks.

The role is adaptable to the projects we take on and there will be some remote mine site travel for projects as required, but primarily you will be based in Perth, managing local installations. It is expected that the role will include at minimum 3 weeks away per year (spread through-out the year) and at a maximum, 6 weeks away.

As part of our small but dynamic team, you'll be working directly with loyal clients and long-term contracts, contributing to a company culture built on loyalty, hard work and trust.

As the majority of the consistent contract work is Perth based (in and around the CBD), you will have access to a company vehicle.

You must be comfortable and confident with 12/24VDC vehicle-based installations and have a history of vehicle system installations. Previous work in Mining is highly desirable.

A minimum of 1-2 years of experience with 12/24VDC vehicle-based installations is strongly preferred for this position.

We are particularly seeking applicants that have also had a history of RF based communication installations and have a good comprehension of Mobile LTE Networks, Mesh Networks and PtP/ PtMP Microwave networks in a mining environment.

Previous experience with RF communication installations is strongly preferred for this role.

To be eligible for the role, you must:

- Be currently living in Perth

- Have Permanent Residency in Australia

- Have a current West Australian Manual Driver's License

- Have at least 2x professional references and 1x character reference

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and configure mining-based communications and technology systems/ equipment. – TerraVision Zetel Private LTE.

Install, maintain, and configure mining vehicle-based tracking and reporting systems/ equipment. – TerraVision BluePipe FMS.

Install, maintain, and configure passenger transport-based tracking and reporting systems/ equipment. – TerraVision FMS and PIS.

'Hands on' approach to termination of communication cables, connectors, wiring loom creation and vehicle integrations.

Provide technical support for communications and technology infrastructure.

Scope, design, and test communications and technology solutions for TerraVision projects.

Conduct accurate and detailed job record-keeping.

Perform job risk assessments and ensure all work is completed safely.

Engage professionally and proactively with customers and long-term clients.

Monitor systems and respond to alerts, outages and resolve issues with system hardware and components.

Catalogue, document and maintain inventory of hardware for projects and systems maintenance.
