Emanate Technology is seeking a skilled Senior SoftwareDeveloper to join a transformative digital program within a government department. This role is part of a collaborative and motivated team delivering modern Microsoft-based applications to improve operations and support end users across the organisation. You’ll work closely with architects, analysts, testers, and subject matter experts to develop and deliver high-quality solutions.

**This role is based out of Brisbane but can be largely remote, with minimal travel required to the Brisbane office throughout the contract (must be based in Australia, ideally East Coast)**

What you’ll be doing

• Developing and extending Microsoft Dynamics–based enterprise applications.
• Building and maintaining solutions within an Azure environment.
• Ensuring applications are developed in line with established standards and frameworks.
• Managing source code and contributing to the iterative development of applications.
• Collaborating with internal and external teams to produce design and architecture documentation.
• Creating and maintaining technical specifications and “as built” documentation.
• Translating functional specifications and user stories into clear technical deliverables.
• Identifying opportunities to reduce technical debt and enhance existing solutions.

What you need to bring

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics and Power Platform applications.
• Strong skills in developing C# plugins, JavaScript in Dynamics Forms, and Power Automate.
• Solid background in .NET stack development and DevOps practices.
• Proven experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Bonus points for…

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in government or large enterprise environments.
• Exposure to complex, multi-domain systems.
• Hands-on experience implementing and using WebAPIs.
• Knowledge of modern design patterns and architectures.
• Experience with ASP.NET, HTML, and CSS.
