About the role
The Senior Lifestyle Assistant is responsible for the provision of person and family centred support services that empowers people with disability to achieve their potential and live the life they choose. The role requires to demonstrate person-centred and positive approach to supporting and empowering people with disability in group based (Day Services) and or individualised (ISP) settings. Additional responsibilities include assisting the Community Leader on a day-to-day basis where required.

Your day-to-day looks like
Development and running of day programs
Assist in making sure Lifestyle Assistants follow all NDIS Quality and Safeguards requirements.
Assist in quality improvements.
Assist in making sure Lifestyle Assistants follow all Work Health & safety requirements.
Assist in mentoring and coaching of Lifestyle Assistants.
Attend and actively participate in regular team meetings, supervision, annual performance reviews etc.
Rostering, reporting, participant file note entries etc.
Desirable Skills & Experience
Previous experience in Disability Support Industry
Ability to maintain an environment that minimises behaviours of concern.
Excellent communication skills and experience in dealing with families, carers and health professionals.
Ability to administer medication, personal care and taking participants into the community.
Respond appropriately to incidents, issues or complaints.
Commitment to individualised and person-centred approaches to service delivery.
Well-developed interpersonal skills and an empathetic approach.
Commitment to creating and maintaining a healthy and safe environment.
An ability to exercise sound judgement in regular independent decision making.
Good time-management skills.
Computer literacy skills.
