Our client, a leading critical mineral refining organisation, is seeking an Electrical Technician / Electrician to support the construction and operation of their mine and processing plant based in Julia Creek, Queensland.

Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems and components, including wiring, switchgear, motors, lighting, and control panels.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for electrical equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults, collaborating with the maintenance team and electrical superintendent to resolve complex issues.
• Perform repairs and overhauls on motors, circuit breakers, relays, switches, and other electrical components.
• Conduct electrical testing, including insulation resistance, continuity, and diagnostic procedures to ensure optimal performance.
• Support instrument technicians in maintaining and troubleshooting control systems and instrumentation.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and testing to meet regulatory requirements.
• Follow strict safety protocols, identify potential hazards, and contribute to a strong safety culture.

Qualifications & Skills required:

• Certificate III in Electrical Technology (unrestricted QLD Electrical License essential).
• Proven experience in installation, fault-finding, and repair of electrical equipment.
• Experience within construction projects
• LVR/CPR certification (required).
• Confined Space Entry & Working at Heights (desirable).
• Strong understanding of industry standards and specifications.
• Professional, reliable, and safety-focused approach. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
