About the role

As a Senior NDT Technician at APEC Inspection, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and integrity of critical infrastructure and assets. Based in Mackay, QLD, this full-time position will see you utilising your extensive expertise in non-destructive testing (NDT) to conduct thorough inspections and evaluations. Your work will be vital in supporting the company's commitment to delivering high-quality services that protect both people and property.

What you'll be doing

Performing a wide range of advanced NDT techniques, including ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant testing

Interpreting and documenting test results to identify potential issues or defects

Collaborating with engineers and other technical staff to develop customised inspection plans

Providing technical guidance and training to junior NDT technicians

Maintaining detailed records and ensuring compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations

Contributing to the continuous improvement of NDT processes and procedures

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years' experience as an NDT technician, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work

Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in a wide range of NDT methods and techniques

Ability to interpret complex technical data and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a keen eye for detail

Relevant NDT certifications (e.g. AINDT, PCN Level II or equivalent)

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
