About the Role
Moonlight Cinema Sydney is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead our Centennial Parklands kitchen team. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll oversee all aspects of kitchen operations from planning and preparing high-quality food, stock control and ordering, to managing a talented team and ensuring seamless service across the event season. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to your team while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor the kitchen team to deliver excellence.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain quality and consistency.
• Manage inventory, stock rotation, and supplier coordination to control costs and minimise waste.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth, timely service during peak periods.
• Maintain kitchen equipment, cleanliness, and organisational standards.

Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in kitchen management or supervisory roles, ideally in high-volume or event or QSR based settings.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Knowledge of food preparation, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Skilled in inventory, stock control, and cost management.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and during seasonal peaks.
• Passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences and leading a dynamic team.
