NURSERY HAND

Glenleigh Wholesale Nursery, a leading supplier of quality plants including hedging plants, shrubs and conifers, servicing nurseries and garden centres across NSW and the ACT.

We are currently recruiting for a Nursery Hand to join our team.

Role Overview

The role involves detailing and packing customer orders for dispatch in a fast-paced environment. Additional tasks may include potting, weeding, picking and general plant maintenance. This position requires a high degree of autonomy, versatility, and the ability to meet targets while working unsupervised. The work is physically demanding, involving repetitive lifting and outdoor work in all weather conditions (rain or shine).

Work Hours

- Monday to Thursday: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

- Friday: 6:00 AM - 12:30 PM

- 38-hour work week

Employment Type

- Full-time positions available with a 3-month probationary period

- Casual positions may also be offered

Essential Criteria

- Positive, enthusiastic, and hardworking attitude

- High level of physical fitness for repetitive lifting and moving

- Ability and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

- Self-motivated with a mature outlook

- Reliable, punctual, and able to focus on tasks

- Proficient English communication and literacy skills

- Interest in horticulture

- Own transport, as there is no public transport

- Ability to start ASAP

Desirable Criteria

- Previous nursery experience (desirable but not essential)
