SCOTS PGC College is seeking a passionate and experienced Learning Enhancement Teacher to join our dynamic team in a part-time capacity (0.6 FTE). Based in Warwick on the Southern Downs region of Queensland, our College is committed to shaping individuals of character who make a positive impact in their communities and the world beyond.
This role is central to fostering inclusive, student-centred learning, with a particular focus on supporting students who are learning English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD).
About the Role
As our Learning Enhancement Teacher, you will:
Deliver targeted intervention programs for students with diverse learning needs (literacy, numeracy, behavioural).
Provide specialised EALD support through in-class coaching, small group instruction, and individualised planning.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to differentiate curriculum and assessment.
Use assessment and data to inform personalised learning strategies and monitor progress.
Contribute to a whole-school culture of high expectations, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
Relevant tertiary qualifications and QCT registration (or eligibility).
Relevant TESOL qualifications would be advantageous.
Demonstrated experience in learning support and/or EALD education.
Skills in creating and implementing ILPs, PLSPs and EALD support plans.
Strong understanding of inclusive pedagogies, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and EALD teaching strategies.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage collaboratively across staff, students, and families.
A commitment to student wellbeing, cultural inclusion, and trauma-informed practice.
