Are you passionate about inclusive education and making a meaningful difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs? We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Learning Support Teacher to join our vibrant primary school team.

Commencing in January 2026, this role is pivotal in ensuring every student can access and thrive within the curriculum through evidence-based interventions and collaborative support.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Teacher, you will work within our Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework to identify and support students requiring additional assistance. You’ll collaborate closely with classroom teachers, parents, and the Head of Learning Enrichment to deliver targeted interventions and develop Individual Support Plans (ISPs) that foster student growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions in literacy, numeracy, and other areas of need.

Develop and monitor ISPs in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Advise and support teachers in implementing inclusive teaching strategies and reasonable adjustments.

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.

Engage in professional learning and contribute to whole-school initiatives that promote inclusive practice.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications: Bachelor of Education (Primary) or equivalent. Postgraduate qualifications in Inclusive or Special Education are highly desirable.

Registration: Current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration.

Experience: Proven experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in a primary setting.

Skills: Strong knowledge of MTSS, differentiation, and evidence-based literacy/numeracy interventions. Excellent communication, collaboration, and data analysis skills.

Values: A genuine passion for inclusion and disability support, with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth.

Other: Current First Aid and CPR certification (preferred). Alignment with the ethos and values of an independent Christian school.
