As MannaCare continues to grow and prepare for future expansion, we are seeking a skilled and proactive Director of Assets and Facilities to ensure our physical environments remain safe, compliant, and sustainable across all sites, including future developments.

The Role

Reporting to the Executive Director, Corporate Services, the Director of Assets and Facilities will lead the planning, maintenance, and strategic management of MannaCare’s buildings, infrastructure, and equipment.

You will play a key role in ensuring our facilities support quality care delivery, staff wellbeing, and operational excellence. This includes oversight of the Maintenance Team, lifecycle asset management, capital works, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Prepare and manage both OPEX and CAPEX budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance.
  • Compliance & Risk: Ensure facilities meet all regulatory, health, safety, and environmental obligations.
  • Project Management: With strategic direction from the Executive Director, Corporate Services, lead construction, renovation, and upgrade projects.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop the Maintenance Team, promoting accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Sustainability: Implement energy-saving and sustainable practices to improve environmental performance.
  • Oversee vendor and contract management, ensuring strong supplier relationships, compliance, and value-for-money service delivery.

About You

You combine technical expertise with strong people and project management skills and take pride in maintaining environments that enable quality care and community connection.

You will bring:

  • Relevant trade qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Carpentry) or tertiary qualification in Facilities, Asset, or Project Management.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Facilities or Asset Management role within aged care or healthcare.
  • Proven experience in project management, contract management, and budgeting (OPEX/CAPEX).
  • Strong understanding of compliance, WHS, and building codes.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to achieving organisational outcomes.
  • Clear NDIS Screening check
  • Full rights to work in Australia
  • Full driver license
