The Role:
Are you a trades-qualified leader with welding/fabrication supervision experience? Do you thrive in a hands-on environment where you can direct, coach and shape a high-performing team? We are seeking a Workshop Supervisor / Leading Hand who will oversee our workshop operations and welding activities, ensuring safe, efficient, on-time delivery of maintenance, fabrication and repair works.

Key Duties Include:

Lead and supervise the workshop team (welders, fabricators, apprentices)

Plan and schedule jobs, allocate labour and resources

Ensure welding/fabrication work meets quality standards and company specifications

Manage safety, quality and environmental compliance

Maintain job records, timesheets, welding logs, job cards

Drive continuous improvement in workshop processes and team performance

Liaise with procurement for materials, parts and monitor budget costs

What You Bring:

Trade qualification (Boilermaker, Welder or similar)

Proven supervision/foreman/leading hand experience in welding/fabrication or workshop environment

Strong understanding of welding codes and standards

Excellent leadership and communication skills

Focus on safety and quality

Valid Australian driver’s licence – additional licences (Forklift, EWP) a plus
