Salary: From $96,731.43 base salary pro rata + super (based on experience)

You’ll create a safe, supportive, and friendly environment for men aged 50+, helping to enrich lives and promote wellbeing. You’ll lead a valued community programme, build partnerships, and support volunteers in a rewarding, hands-on role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage daily operations of the Men’s Shed
- Develop, implement, and evaluate Shed activities and programmes
- Ensure compliance with safety and legislative guidelines
- Deliver induction and ongoing training for members and volunteers
- Seek fundraising and sponsorship opportunities
- Monitor members’ wellbeing and support referrals
- Build partnerships with government and community groups
- Coordinate volunteer meetings and maintain records
- Oversee facility, equipment, and membership data
- Provide excellent customer service to all visitors

Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a community-focused leader with strong organisational and people skills. You’ll ideally bring:
- Relevant tertiary degree or equivalent competency
- Current Provide First Aid Certificate
- Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Leadership and supervision experience
- Budget and resource management skills
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Work Health & Safety regulations
- Ability to promote innovative solutions in a community setting
- Experience working with people in community services
- National Police Clearance (under 3 months)
- Current Driver’s Licence (desirable)
- Knowledge of wood trades (desirable)
