As the Centre Manager and Executive Assistant at the University of Melbourne's Poche Centre for Indigenous Health, you'll play a pivotal role in accelerating Indigenous leadership in healthcare. You'll oversee daily operations, provide high-level support to the Centre Director, and contribute to strategic initiatives that foster the next generation of Indigenous leaders. This role offers you the chance to make a significant impact on Indigenous health outcomes while developing your skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide Executive Support: Manage the Centre Director's diary, emails, and meeting preparations, ensuring smooth operations and enabling focus on strategic priorities.
- Lead Financial and Resource Management: Oversee budgets and resources in collaboration with the Faculty Finance team and Centre Director.
- Manage Governance Processes: Coordinate the Strategic Advisory Board, oversee HR processes, and ensure compliance with University requirements.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Implement efficient work methods, contribute to problem-solving, and continuously enhance administrative systems.
You may be a great fit if:
You are a proactive and adaptable professional with exceptional organisational skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a passion for advancing Indigenous health leadership through your expertise in high-level administrative support and operational management.
You may also:
- Have a degree or diploma in a relevant field with substantial experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
- Demonstrate a commitment to social justice and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander principles and values.
- Excel in building relationships with diverse stakeholders and managing sensitive information with discretion.
- Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage complex activities and think intuitively.
