Account Manager – General Insurance (SME Fleet Portfolio)

Are you an experienced Insurance Broker ready to take ownership of an SME portfolio? Join a well-respected, independently owned brokerage in North Sydney and work alongside industry leaders on a high-performing team. We are currently seeking an Account Manager to step into a key role, managing a book of SME Fleet to mid-market clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and retain an established book of SME to mid-market clients
• Handle all aspects of broking including renewals, new business, endorsements, and claims support
• Negotiate with underwriters to secure competitive terms and cover
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships
• Identify opportunities to grow and improve the portfolio
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior brokers when required

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in general insurance broking (SME or corporate portfolios)
• Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification and Diploma Qualified
• Deep understanding of insurer markets, policy wordings, and placement strategy
• Strong relationship management and communication skills
• Client-first mindset with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
• Ability to work collaboratively in a high-performing team environment
