About the Opportunity
RACV Noosa Resort is renowned for its delicious buffet breakfast, serving over 350 guests daily. We’re currently seeking an enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our talented kitchen team and and support our breakfast service.
In this role, you’ll oversee the daily buffet, ensuring a high standard of presentation and food quality. You’ll engage with guests, respond to enquiries, and help create an exceptional dining experience. Working alongside our dedicated team, you’ll play a key role in the smooth operation of the kitchen — maintaining quality, consistency, and efficiency every day.

As a Commis Chef, your key responsibilities for the role include:
Perform knife skills, mis en place, cooking techniques & duties
Produce a consistent high quality product & standard
Maintain equipment, utensils and a clean & hygienic kitchen
Rotate stock, ensuring minimal wastage
Follow directions from senior chefs and work as a team player
Follow WHS, policies and procedures
This is a full time position working a Sunday to Thursday roster, 4.30am - 12.30pm.
What you’ll need to be successful
Completed a Certificate III or IV in Cookery qualification, recognised in Australia
Previous cooking experience in a 4-5 star hotel/resort or a la carte restaurant environment
Developed knife & cookery skills
Thrive in a large, busy & fast paced work environment, with efficiency, organisation and attention to detail
Strong communication skills, can follow direction and work well in a team environment
Committed and a passion for cooking with a strong focus on food quality and presentation
Full working rights in Australia.
