We’re Noosa, different by nature. As part of our Arts & Culture Branch, you’ll lead the planning, delivery and promotion of engaging library programs that connect people of all ages with ideas, stories and each other.

The opportunity

Lead a small, creative team delivering diverse public programs across our libraries

Grow digital capability through innovative, tech-enabled programming

Champion volunteer services (Adult Literacy & Home Library) and strengthen community reach

Build partnerships, collaborate on grants and elevate our marketing & online presence

Contribute to service strategy as a member of the Library Leadership Team

About you
You’re a positive, hands-on leader who thrives on community impact. You bring:

Leadership experience in a public library or similar community setting

Proven program design, delivery and evaluation skills (including digital literacy)

Strong stakeholder skills in consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution

Ability to juggle multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines

Desirable: capability with marketing/content tools and online platforms

Qualifications & checks

Degree or postgraduate qualification in Information Services (Library), Education, Marketing, Event Management, Communications or related

Driver’s Licence - “C” Class

Pre-employment: health questionnaire, identity, work rights and qualifications check

Desirable: eligibility for ALIA professional membership

Salary & benefits

Level 5.1: $96,756 base (permanent full-time)

Total remuneration package: $109,826 (includes 12% employer super & 17.5% leave loading)
