About the opportunity:
This role is focused on developing and maintaining data analytics solutions that help the organisation make informed decisions. As a Business Intelligence Specialist, you’ll design and support reporting products - such as datasets, dashboards, and extracts that meet business needs and empower self-service BI users. You’ll work closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders to shape requirements and deliver meaningful insights.

Key Activities:

• Build and maintain Power BI datasets, reports, and SSRS outputs in a hybrid cloud/on-prem environment.
• Collaborate with BAs and SMEs to define reporting requirements.
• Design and deliver dynamic reporting solutions for analytics, visualisation, and self-service BI.
• Mentor others in BI best practices, including T-SQL, DAX, Power Query, and dimensional modelling.
• Support continuous improvement in data development and management practices.

About you:

• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Power BI or Azure certifications highly regarded.
• Strong skills in T-SQL, DAX, Power Query, and dimensional modelling.
• Solid understanding of OLTP and star schema database structures.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server BI tools (SSMS, SSRS, SSIS – 2012+).
• Skilled in data visualisation best practices.
• Familiarity with aged care clinical systems (AutumnCare, ComCare, Procura).
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities in designing data solutions.
