About the role:

This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands-on experience. Your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Assist in the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of locomotives, rolling stock, and heavy equipment.
• Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
• Support qualified boilermakers with cutting, welding, and assembling metal components.
• Follow all safety procedures and workplace standards in line with rail and WHS requirements.
• Develop strong trade skills and hands-on experience in a large-scale engineering environment.

• Punctual, reliable, and energetic with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow instructions and apply practical thinking to real-world mechanical or engineering tasks.
• Problem-solving mindset with curiosity to troubleshoot and learn practical solutions.
• Willingness to learn from experienced tradespeople and take on new challenges.
