About the role

Bestoked Pty Ltd, an established event construction company based in Caringbah, Sydney are seeking a Workshop Assistant to join our team. This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for beginners to get into this dynamic and exciting creative industry. Working with a talented team you will be contributing to the continued growth and success of our business.

What you'll be doing

Providing general assistance and support to our workshop operations

Assisting carpenters with woodworking components in the fabrication and assembly of custom builds. Performing basic hand and power tool operations

Assisting painters with all painting and paint preparation works

Ensuring the workshop is kept clean, organised and well-stocked

Running errands including collection and drop offs of materials and goods.

Following all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment

Collaborating with the wider team to ensure the successful completion of each project

What we're looking for

Some experience in a similar workshop or labouring role, preferably within the trades and services industry

Familiarity with basic hand and power tools, and the ability to follow instructions and procedures

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Drivers licence preferred

A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
