About the Role

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our friendly team in Newcastle, NSW on a casual basis. As a key member of our aged care team, you will provide high-quality clinical care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and wellbeing at all times.

This role is ideal for RNs looking for flexibility, variety, and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of older Australians.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver and oversee high-quality, person-centred clinical care to residents.

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans in collaboration with the care team and families.

Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Monitor residents’ health and promptly respond to changes or incidents.

Provide leadership, guidance, and support to care staff and ensure best practice standards are maintained.

Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in line with organisational and legislative requirements.

Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for residents, families, and staff.

Essential Criteria

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).

Demonstrated experience in aged care, community care, or acute nursing.

Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and communication skills.

A genuine passion for providing quality care to older people.

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Current National Police Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Working with Children Check (NSW) (or willingness to obtain).

Up-to-date COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations (in line with NSW Health guidelines).

Desirable Criteria

Postgraduate qualifications or training in Aged Care, Gerontology, or similar field.

Experience with clinical software and electronic care systems.

Leadership or mentoring experience within a care team.
