We're offering an exciting opportunity as a Trade Centre Trainee focused on timber and building materials supply. In this role, you’ll work mainly at the Trade Desk, assisting professional builders and tradespeople with orders, quotes, and product advice. You’ll also rotate through areas like inventory, dispatch coordination, and stock management — giving you a well-rounded foundation in retail trade operations.
This is an 18-month traineeship where you’ll earn a Certificate III in Timber Building Products Supply (FWP30622) — setting you up for a solid future in the building materials, warehouse, and retail trade industry.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Assisting trade customers at the Trade Desk with quotes, orders, and product enquiries
- Learning the ins and outs of product inventory, supply chain, and logistics
- Processing sales and managing transactions accurately
- Supporting stocktakes, replenishment, and merchandising tasks
- Coordinating deliveries and pick-ups with the dispatch team
- Working closely with suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth operations
- Interacting with customers and tradies in a helpful and professional manner
- Maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

- Friendly and professional when speaking with customers
- Full working and study rights in Australia
- Own transport (P plates are fine)
🕗 Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
