Credit and Collections Officer

As a Collections Officer, you will be required to negotiate the timely recovery of debts on behalf of the business. You will ensure all mechanisms are in place to enable efficient and effective control of the debtor’s ledger and will provide regular feedback on your progress to senior management.

In this role you will;

Manage debt across a ledger and deal directly with all customer’s debt.

Inbound & Outbound calls to debtors to recover funds

Negotiate and monitor payments

Manage and resolve customer enquiries to achieve a successful recovery.

Complying with client & company policies & procedures

Liaising with various departments and support the business objectives to solve queries

Provide regular and consistent feedback on progress to relevant business departments and senior management

Maintain KPIs on a day-to-day basis

Providing excellent customer service while maintaining a professional approach

Liaising with internal teams to address payment issues and escalate where necessary

About You?

To be successful in this position, our newest team member will have the following:

Previous 1-3 years’ experience in credit/accounting functional work environment

Previous experience in a contact centre advantageous

Expert negotiation and problem-solving skills

Expert customer service capabilities

Ability to build rapport quickly with a firm, engaging and respectful telephone manner

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels both written and verbal

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make timely decisions

The successful applicant will supply a current National Police Check
